Bird Walk at the EOPThe Sierra Vista Environmental Operations Park (EOP), also known as the
waste water treatment plant, is open for bird walks each Sunday morning.
The walks are led by docents from Southeastern Arizona Bird Observatory (SABO), Huachuca Audubon Society (HAS) and the Friends of the San Pedro River (FSPR).
The next walks begin at 8 a.m. February 7 and 14 and depart from the viewing platform inside the EOP. The entrance is located on SR 90 between mileage markers 324 and 325 on the north side of the highway. All tours are FREE, although SABO, HAS and FSPR all accept donations. Allow at least 2 ½ hours for the walk.
The walks are limited to 20 people and are filled on a first come, first served basis. Special walks for large groups and walks on days other than Sunday can be

Bird Watching on the San Pedro RiverAll birdwatchers are welcome to join this 2-3 hour field trip onto private property to view incredible riparian habitat, including burrowing owl roosts. Bring water, sunscreen and wear appropriate clothing. 8 a.m. Pull-off just west of the bridge on the north side of Hwy 92 (there is a rusty Quonset hut just before the turn-off, and a gate numbered 10663), Palominas. Join the Tuesday Hikers!The Tuesday hiking group hikes every Tuesday of the year regardless of weather. All interested hikers are invited to join in each hike.
There are no meetings, no dues, no officers. The group is not an official club of any sort and each hiker is solely responsible for his/her own safety and welfare.

History Walk to Murray Springs Clovis SiteJoin the Friends of the San Pedro River on Wednesday, February 10th (9 AM) or Sunday, February 14th (11 AM) for an interpretive walk at the Murray Springs Clovis site where archaeologists have excavated stone spear points in direct association with the bones of now extinct mammoth and bison. A trained Docent will lead the walk and provide information on the Clovis culture that was present in the San Pedro Valley about 13,000 years ago. This walk only about ½ mile and will last about an hour and a half. There is one steep incline, so be prepared with good walking shoes. Also be prepared for the weather and bring some water. Meet at the Murray Springs parking area, about one mile north of Highway 90 on Moson Road. There is no charge for this walk, but donations are accepted. Fairbank DaysCome to Fairbank for live music, art exhibits, re-enactments of “the Great Fairbank Train Robbery,” and tours of the Townsite and cemetery. Bring the family and a picnic. Enjoy the beautiful winter weather, take a walk, a hike, or just enjoy the surroundings. All of this is free (donations accepted).
